View of the Wetlands at the Keystone Heritage Park

Hey Winefam! This weekend grab the family and visit the El Paso Desert Botanical Gardens. It can be difficult to find kid friendly outings but look no further here’s one for this weekend. The Keystone Heritage park located at 4220 Doniphan is home to the El Paso Botanical Gardens and the Chihuahua Desert Experience. They are open from 930 am to sunset Tuesday through Sunday with admission being $2 for adults and $1 for anyone under 13. This was an absolutely beautiful spot the entire family enjoyed. However, this was not stroller friendly outside of the botanical gardens. Near the archeological site you will also see various plaques telling the history of the site which were pretty neat to read.

I would recommend babywearing and closed-toe shoes. The bathrooms were located towards the right side of the garden and were super clean. If you’re a professional photographer there is a fee to use the facilities but you can contact them to reserve a spot. There was a beautiful wishing fountain and we even saw some birds. If your kids are like mine they will be ecstatic when they see the amphitheater and you might even get an impromptu show. We enjoyed walking the trail around the wetlands and the kids collected some pretty cool rocks for their collection. They were worn out by the end of our trip and we had so many cool memories and will have to come back again sin stroller.  For more information check out their website here or to check out more of our adventures check us out here.
