There is still time left to check out the Pizza and Wine festivities, but if you missed it don’t worry too much Zin Valle still has events on weekends. When you arrive be sure to get there early as parking quickly fills up.
In the main building, there’s a complementary three-wine tasting with the option to buy your favorites. I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to attempt, however the wine room assistant helped me to branch out into something new. The atmosphere was so relaxing that I didn’t feel pressured to rush through tasting, while my kids even enjoyed meeting the resident feline of the winery. When you decide your favorites, you have a couple choices: get your selection to go, make a flight, or a bottle and glass to enjoy on-site. I ended up taking the Zin Valle Red Zinfandel to go and the Zin Valle White Zinfandel to enjoy with my pizza.
We ended up grabbing a charcuterie tray to share with the little ones while we waited for said pizza. Once back outside there was plenty of seating covered and uncovered and I saw plenty of families too. To be honest I wasn’t sure if my kids would have fun but they ended up temporarily joining The Retroz as tambourine players and finding premier piles of sand to mold with their toys.
Heavenly Slices was serving super cute heart pizzas for $12 each; margarita, cheese, pepperoni, and pesto with the most complementing wines listed. What a nice touch!
Full disclosure Winefam get there early if you plan on getting pizzas because they ended up selling out and I barely got one. With that being said wood fire grills just make pizza more delicious and that’s exactly what this pizza was.
We ended up having a great time and will have to come back and try more from Zin Valle. Did you know they also offer a wine club?
